First day in Venice...

Queste immagini risalgono a qualche giorno fa, il mio weekend a Venezia era solo all'inizio.
Ho approfittato della temperatura favorevole per indossare la mia nuova giacca in lana con collo e dettagli di volpe, un acquisto fatto durante il mio ultimo viaggio a New York. E' fantastica, pratica e soprattutto molto cool, adoro indossarla con capi casual.

Il cappello del brand WARM-ME è un regalo personale di compleanno. E' realizzato a mano in cashmere e lana merino e oltre a possedere delle bellissime tonalità, (ho decretato che l'azzurro sarà il mio colore per quest'inverno 2012), supporta il progetto Namaste e. V. (www.namaste-project.com) che aiuta i bambini nepalesi a frequentare la scuola. E l'anello? L'ho trovato da Primark a Londra e non riesco a uscire di casa senza! 

Here are some pictures of my last trip in Venice. My weekend was just beginning.
Fortunately the temperature was mild, I decided to wear my new wool jacket with collar and details in fox fur, a purchase made in New York during my last journey in October. 
It suits fantastic on me, comfortable and first of all very cool, I love it with a casual outfit. 
My WARM-ME knitwear beanie is a gift. It's realized in cashmere and merinos wool and it's totally handmade. 
In addition to own beautiful shades (for sure azure is my winter 2012 color), the brand supports Namaste e.V. (www.namaste-project.com) which is helping kids in Nepal to attend schools.
And what about the ring? I found it at Primark in London and now I can't go out without it!

Sunday in Venice

Oggi a Venezia c'è acqua alta. E' la prima volta che la vedo e ne sono rimasta affascinata anche se ha creato non pochi problemi in laguna...
Ho deciso di vestirmi nella maniera più adatta per affrontare questo disagio. Gli stivali in gomma sono obbligatori e i miei Hunter si sono rivelati la scelta giusta. Il gilet di Prada in finta pelliccia è un regalo ricevuto l'anno scorso, l'ho usato tantissimo e anche questo inverno sarà un valido alleato per combattere il freddo, ve lo assicuro, è proprio caldo... Del resto Prada è una garanzia!

E poi? Un grazie lo devo al negozio Demaldè di Milano che proprio in occasione del mio compleanno mi ha omaggiato con un bellissimo dono: la spilla anni '40 in vetro raffigurante Venezia. Sarà perchè i proprietari sono a conoscenza del mio amore per questa città e i suoi negozi di gioielleria... Codognato tra tutti? Ancora grazie, hanno proprio fatto centro ;)

There's high tide in Venice today. It's the first time I see it and I'm completely fascinated even if it has created some problems in lagoon...
I've decided to wear right clothes to face the situation. Rubber boots are essential and my Hunters the right choice.
I received my Prada faux fur long vest as gift last year, it's very warm. I used it a lot and surely it will be a valid ally to fight cold temperature... We all know Prada is a byword for guarantee!
And what else? Thanks a lot to Demaldè boutique in Milan that gave me an amazing gift for my birthday: a 40's glass brooch reproducing Venice. Is it because the owners know perfectly my love for Venetian jeweller's... Codognato for first?

ISABEL MARANT vs GOLDEN GOOSE…GREAT MATCH!

Ormai non si parla d’altro… Da mesi fashion bloggers e non postano proprie immagini con le Beckett e le Willows ai piedi; c’è chi punta a colori basici e chi osa di più, ma non tutti sono amanti delle sneakers con il rialzo.

Proviamo a organizzare una competition: quelle di Isabel Marant, iper fashion e introvabili vs Golden Goose, le tennis made in Venezia, riconoscibili e amate per la particolare stella sui fianchi. Quale brand uscirà vincitore?

Sono sincera, mi piacciono entrambe; sono fan da anni delle Golden Goose, sia che esse siano in pelle, suede o canvas perché, a parer mio, sono riuscite a dare un valore aggiunto alla classica scarpa a tennis; per i colori, sempre diversi e irriverenti ma portabilissimi e per le applicazioni: basti pensare a  quelle dell’attuale stagione SS '12 con borchie arrotondate o tessuto rinfrangente.

Del resto le Willows/Beckett rappresentano la rivoluzione, scopiazzate ormai da tutti ma si sa: ai propri piedi non si può non avere le originali. Il prezzo è comunque alto ma, a quanto pare, siamo tutte disposte a mettere mano al portafogli. Sta a voi la scelta, io per essere sicura mi sono già messa in lista d’attesa…e voi? Cosa aspettate?

Everyone speaks about it… since months fashion bloggers and girls post their own photos fitting Beckett and Willows shoes; there’s who wear plain colors and who dare more, but not everybody loves the famous sneakers with inside lift.

Ok let’s start a competition: Isabel Marant’s, iper fashion and impossible to find vs Golden Goose, tennis shoes made in Venice, recognizable and loved for the peculiar star on sides. Who is gonna win?

I’m honest, I like both; I’m a Golden Goose fan since years; because of the fabric: as it is leather, suede or canvas and because the brand has finally given a surplus value to classical tennis shoes.

This is due to colors, always different and irreverent but absolutely wearable, and to embroideries: suffice is to think about new SS’12 styles with rounded studs or reflector texture.

At the same time Willows/Beckett shoes represent the revolution, they are worldwide perfectly imitated but we all know we can fit only the original ones.

The price in both cases is high but as it seems we are all willing to put one’s hand in one’s pocket.

The choice is yours, I’m on the waiting list for next FW’12 collection…and you? What are you waiting for?

Lost in Venice

Una gita inaspettata quella a Venezia ma sempre piacevolissima.

E’ incredibile come ogni volta che trascorro qualche giorno in laguna scopra sempre posti nuovi e affascinanti rimanendo immancabilmente stupefatta.

Adoro passare il tempo perdendomi per la città, scoprendo calli, ponti; fermandomi in qualche bacaro ad assaporare le specialità del luogo o visitando musei.

Un giretto per le vie dello shopping è sempre concesso: il mio percorso ha come obiettivo finale ammirare le vetrine della storica gioielleria Codognato a un passo da San Marco. Un negozio dal fascino di altri tempi di cui avrò presto modo di parlarvi. A Venezia è sempre opportuno vestirsi comodi, l‘ho scoperto a mie spese… Questa volta ho optato per un paio di jeans, una t-shirt, i miei nuovi mocassini di Charles Philip e la mia Birkin: un regalo inaspettato da parte di mia madre che mi ha lasciato senza fiato…;)

An unexpected weekend in the charming Venice.

It’s incredible, every time I pass some days in lagoon I always discover new amazing places.

I absolutely adore to spend the day get lost in the city, finding out “calli” and bridges; only stopping in some tipical bacaros to relish Venetian specialities or visiting museums.

A shopping trip is always permitted, my purpose consists in watching historic Codognato’s shop windows, a famous jewellery of other times near San Marco plaza but I’m going to speak about it soon. To live Venice is necessary a comfortable look, I realized it in my past vacations. This time I’ve chosen a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, my new Charles Philip’s loafers and my Birkin: an unsuspected gift from my mother, she left me breathless…;)
