Aloha Samudra!

Lo ammetto, stavo per perdere le speranze e invece dopo l’ennesima, estenuante giornata lavorativa pre vacanze estive ho trovato una piacevole sorpresa a casa…la mia Samudra direttamente dalle Hawaii. Aprendo il pacco mi sono tornate alla mente le bellissime spiagge di Waimea e Poipu, le onde gigantesche, nuotare fianco a fianco con le tartarughe marine, il profumo di mare presso i chioschetti sulla strada e la meravigliosa vegetazione incontrata durante l’esplorazione di Kauai e O’Ahu…date un occhio alle immagini, non ho ragione? ALOHA!

I was losing hope but finally after another exhausting working day before holidays I found a pleasant surprise at home…my Samudra pouch directly from Hawaii.

Memories came into mind: beautiful Waimea and Poipu shores, giant waves, swimming side by side with sea turtles, the particular smell of food on the way and the amazing greenery found during Kawai and O’Ahu exploration…look at the images, am I wrong? ALOHA!

Ricchezza e opulenza: le collezioni autunno-inverno propongono gioielli e ornamenti che non passano certamente inosservati.
Amuleti, fiori che si trasformano in collane e bracciali, tiare, camei e teschi di bovino rivolti in posizione opposta tra di loro a formare bracciali e spille.
Questi ultimi i gioielli in metallo ottonato e finitura black di Prabal Gurung, fermagli perfetti per chiudere mantelle e cappe, per adornare i colli di camicie e abiti; bracciali che esaltano il look senza esasperarlo. Sarà la fine del minimalismo? Non penso, ma la collezione di Prabal è una delle mie preferite ed io sono pronta ad abbracciare il suo stile.

Richness and opulence: fall-winter collections propose pieces of jewelry and embellishments that certainly don’t pass unnoticed.
Charms, flowers that turn into necklaces and bracelets, tiaras, cameos and two steer skulls facing away from each other to create cuffs and brooches.
These last mentioned are from Prabal Gurung’s fall 2012 collection. Solid brass or black powder-coated brass brooches to fasten mantels and caps, to adorn button-down blouses and dresses; cuffs that enhance outfits without overdoing. Will it be the end of minimalism? I don’t think so, but Prabal’s collection is one of my favorite and I’m ready to embrace his style.

ISABEL MARANT SNEAKERS FW’12…FINALLY IN MY WARDROBE!

Non ci posso ancora credere! Le ho cercate tanto, le ho ordinate senza sapere la data effettiva di consegna e attese a lungo ma finalmente eccole: le nuove sneakers di Isabel Marant per il prossimo autunno inverno! Le ho ritirare giusto ieri, quando le ho viste esposte da Excelsior non sono stata più nella pelle… Le mie sono completamente nere con dettagli in pitone stampato, ma sono disponibili anche grigie, verde militare, tortora e color block rosse e blu elettrico. Che altro dire…evviva!

I just can’t believe it! I looked for them so much, I made the order and waited for a long time without knowing the right delivery date but finally here they are: new fall winter 2012 Isabel Marant sneakers! I picked up mine just yesterday and when I saw them on Excelsior displays I couldn’t be beside myself with joy… My IB are completely black colored with printed python skin details but in store are available also grey, army, dove-grey, and color block red and electric blue. What else can I say?...hurrah

“Dance to Feel Free Party” in Florence

Continua la rassegna sul Pitti Fashion Week. Mercoledì scorso si è tenuto il “Dress to Feel Free Party” del brand da uomo KEEP WILD all’Odeon Bistrot Cafè, nella meravigliosa Piazza Strozzi, una festa all’insegna della stravaganza in puro stile fluo 2012. Un dj set d’eccellenza, musica fino a tarda sera e a farla da protagoniste le t-shirt Keep Wild aerografate e personalizzate ad una ad una dai ragazzi di “Sei come Sei”… Padrona di casa dell’evento e anima del marchio, Natascha Elfring, che riesce in tutto e per tutto a esprimere l’essenza del brand. Mi sono proprio divertita!!!

My Pitti Fashion Week reports continue. Last Wednesday the KEEP WILD “Dress to Feel Free Party” took place at Odeon Bistrot Cafè in the beautiful Strozzi Square, an extravagant event in pure neon style 2012. An excellent dj set, music till late at night and Keep Wild t-shirts: the real stars of the party, airbrushed and personalized one by one by “Sei come Sei” boys… Perfect mistress and life of the brand, Natascha Elfring who totally expresses the K-W essence. I really had lots of fun!!!

Prima di partire per Firenze non ho potuto fare a meno di comprare un accessorio simpatico e giusto giusto per questa estate multicolor. Non un semplice cerchietto ma IL cerchietto pompon inclusi…che ne pensate?

Before going to Florence I bought a funny object that I think is absolutely perfect for this multicoloured summer. It’s not a simple headband it’s THE headband, bobbles included…what do you think about?

 

FW 12-13: GIVENCHY BOOTS ROCK

Sono molto felice di poter dedicare il primo “Pick of the Week” della prossima stagione invernale agli stivali di Givenchy, già entrati nella mia personale wish list.

Riccardo Tisci non si smentisce mai presentando una collezione dagli accenti gotici e con influenze equestri. I boots al ginocchio hanno una guaina che li ricopre interamente nascondendo anche il tacco. Vengono proposti in pelle e cavallino monocolore o con dettagli a contrasto e in varie tonalità: dal nero al cacao e caramello fino al rosso fuoco per una donna sicura di sé e che non ha timore di osare. Sono perfetti da abbinare sia ad abiti e gonne che a pantaloni per un look 100% rock. Speriamo solo che stiano bene alle piccoline come me…;)

I’m really happy to dedicate first next fall-winter season “Pick of the Week” to Givenchy boots, already in my personal wish list.

Riccardo Tisci is always true to type presenting a collection with gothic accents and equestrian influences. Boots are knee-high with heel-covering sheaths and are perfect fitted with dresses, skirts and pants. They are proposed in leather and plain colored fur or with contrast details and different shades: black, brown, caramel and flame red for self-confident women who looks 100% rock. I only wish boots suit good on tiny girls just like me…;)

 

Baguettemania event in Florence

Mercoledì sera si è tenuto l’evento Baguettemania a Firenze in concomitanza con il Pitti Fashion Week. E’ proprio vero che le serate non organizzate sono sempre le più riuscite. Dopo aver fatto un salto da Luisaviaroma io e la mia amica Alessandra ci siamo dirette verso il monomarca Fendi. L’atmosfera era frizzante, un aperitivo ultra chic a base di Cosmopolitan e Champagne, le meravigliose riedizioni delle Baguette esposte sui display e un fotografo professionista per immortalare gli ospiti con al braccio la preferita. Un’occasione da non perdere!!! A proposito di Baguette, i miei ricordi mi hanno riportato a quando mia madre ne aveva acquistata una bianca di perline. Meravigliosa! E che emozione poter uscire la sera e sfoggiare quel capolavoro. Peccato che a una festa di compleanno gli invitati hanno deciso di giocare a torta in faccia…indovinate panna, crema e cioccolato dove sono finite?!? Direi che è arrivato giusto il momento di acquistarne un’altra, magari la Limited Re-Edition Gialla o la Tucano che sfoggio in queste foto!

Baguettemania Event took place in Florence on Wednesday evening in conjunction with Pitti Fashion Week. It’s really true, not organized evenings are always the best. After a quick stop by Luisaviaroma my friend Alessandra and I headed toward Fendi store. The atmosphere was sparkling, an ultra chic aperitif with Cosmopolitan and Champagne, marvelous Baguette Re-Editions arranged on displays and a photographer to immortalize guests with the favorite one in hand. We couldn’t miss this opportunity!!! Concerning Baguette bag my memories took me back several years, when my mother bought one with embellished white beads. Amazing! For me it was a great emotion to come out and show that masterpiece. Unfortunately at a birthday party guests decided to play at pie in the face…now guess, what did cream and chocolate hit? Now I think it’s really time to buy another one, maybe the Yellow Limited Re-Edition or the Tucano that I’m wearing in these photos!

La settimana del Pitti è ormai giunta al termine e così anche il mio soggiorno a Firenze, ma sono tornata a casa con un bagaglio di ricordi e immagini che hanno caratterizzato la kermesse fiorentina. Sono molto felice che il brand Colmar Originals per il quale lavoro stia acquisendo sempre maggior notorietà, sia in Italia che all’estero e sicuramente la presenza della collezione invernale in vendita da Luisa Via Roma mi rende particolarmente orgogliosa. E’ a dir poco stimolante vedere che lo sforzo per realizzare la collezione sia stato premiato in questo modo. Come tutti sappiamo Luisa Via Roma è riconosciuto a livello internazionale come store in grado di dettare i trend del momento. Ho quindi il piacere di mostrarvi le immagini dell’istallazione Originals in negozio e la Limited Edition di piumini da donna con le stampe di Francesco Cuomo, artista Partenopeo … buona visione!!!   

Pitti fair is finished by now and my stay in Florence too but I’m back home with a fund of memories and images that have defined Florentine kermesse. I’m really delighted that Colmar Originals brand, the one I’m working for, is reaching a great prestige in Italy and abroad and for sure the presence of next fall-winter collection at Luisaviaroma store, makes me particularly proud. It’s amazing and exciting to see that all energy spent to realize the collection has been rewarded in this way. As we all know Luisaviaroma store is recognized worldwide as the one that sets fashion trends. PRADA RAFIA BAGS: A LITTLE BIT OF SUMMER EVERYWHERE

 

Fortunatamente la tanto attesa estate è alle porte e in strada è possibile vedere trends e colori di stagione. C’è chi ha l’opportunità di trascorrere qualche giorno al mare e chi invece è costretto a rimanere in città. Ma una volta che il weekend finisce e bisogna tornare a lavoro e alla solita routine cosa possiamo indossare per sentirci comode ma al tempo stesso avere un look prettamente estivo? Per iniziare possiamo sfoggiare una delle nuove borse di Prada in rafia e rafia crochet. Coloratissime e divertenti vengono proposte sia con i manici che a clutch…un buon inizio direi!!!

Visti per la prima volta su Elle France non ho potuto far a meno di mostrarveli. Ovviamente appariscenti ma sicuramente molto comodi, hanno infatti un tacco alto 9 cm, sono disponibili sia in pizzo rosso che marrone. Se siete interessate fate un salto sul sito monomarca della designer parigina, troverete sicuramente ciò che fa al caso vostro…  

Red lace, little ankle buckles and open toe… Laurence Dacade “RUSH” sandals are absolutely irresistible! I saw them for the first time on Elle France magazine and I had to show them to you. Obviously flashy but surely comfortable, heel is 9 cm high, they are available in red and brown lace. If you’re interested visit Parisian designer’s web site, I think you’ll find your own model…

Codognato Vanity Crowned Skull ring

E’ da tanto che non compaio in un post ma eccomi qui sulle colline umbre, gli scatti risalgono allo scorso weekend. Il luogo è incantato, i paesaggi semplicemente mozzafiato. Ho optato per un look sui toni del rosa pallido e nero, l’abito è stato un acquisto fatto all’ultimo da Zara, gli accessori: le rock studs sling back di Valentino, tracolla di Chanel in raso e dettagli in pelle e… il mio anello Vanity Crowned Skull di Codognato. In uno dei miei primi post avevo annunciato l’intenzione di parlarne ed eccolo: il teschio incoronato in oro e diamanti grezzi, la montatura a forma di osso e internamente autografato. E’ un regalo ricevuto quattro anni fa a Venezia, un acquisto fatto appositamente nella storica gioielleria Codognato. L’anello è un pezzo unico risalente ai primi anni del 900…personalmente lo considero una vera opera d’arte…

I Renaissance-style Vanity rings sono tra i gioielli più famosi di casa Codognato, anche realizzati in oro, avorio e cristalli di Rocca al posto dei diamanti. Sicuramente questi pezzi vintage d’alta gioielleria sono tra i più amati e copiati ma gli altri rimangono semplicemente delle imitazioni.

It’s such a long time you don’t see me on posts but here I am on beautiful Umbrian hills, a fairyland with breathtaking landscapes. Images are from last weekend. I was pale pink and black dressed. Zara cloth is a last minute buying, my accessories: Valentino rock studs sling back, satin and leather Chanel little shoulder bag and…my Codognato Vanity Crowned Skull ring. I wrote in one of my first posts I wanted to speak about it and here it is: a very mysterious and dark gold skull cap with crown and rough diamonds eyes,  bone shaped mounting and autographed inside. It’s a gift received 4 years ago in Venice, a purchase made on purpose at historic Codognato’s jewellery. The ring is one of a kind, dated from early twentieth century…personally a real work of art…

Renaissance-style Vanity rings are among the most famous works of Codognato, even realized in gold enameled in ivory and rock crystal gemstones instead of diamonds. For sure these vintage luxury jewellery pieces are the most popular and most copied but the others are simply copies.
