Isabel Marant stupisce di nuovo!
Non è ancora finita la stagione invernale che le Bayley, le nuove sneakers del celebre marchio francese sono già sold out.
Anche per la prossima primavera-estate si punta sulla mitica suola rialzata che rende slanciate le più piccoline (me compresa); un mix di materiali e il dettaglio di una stella applicata fanno sì che le Bayley siano già un must have.
Un pò Isabel Marant, un pò Converse all Star, un pò Golden Goose? Chissà... Quel che è certo è che sono già introvabili!

Wintertime is not yet ended but new Bayley sneakers from the well-known French brand are already sold out.
For next spring-summer season, IM bets on the awesome high top wedge that makes little girls (me included) look thinner. Thanks to the combination of texture-clash and a retro star appliquè detail, Bayley sneakers are a street style must.
A little bit Isabel Marant, a little bit Converse All Star or Golden Goose? Perhaps... Certainty they are already impossible to find!

Oggi la giornata è stata piacevolissima, cielo limpido, sole e il freddo giusto.
Posso assicurare che Londra lo scorso weekend non era altrettanto mite.
In seguito all'evento Monster a Santa Pod che mi ha tenuta impegnata per tutta la giornata di sabato, ho potuto trascorrere un solo giorno nella capitale inglese. Spero la prossima volta di avere l'opportunità di fermarmi di più e scoprirla in tutta la sua bellezza.
Vi lascio con le poche foto scattate; qui indosso un cappotto con i bordi in mongolia e il fondo in agnello, un acquisto dello scorso anno ma sempre attuale; a mano l'indistruttibile Balenciaga, comodissima e perfetta da usare durante i viaggi... 

Today's weather has been very pleasant, clear sky, sun and right temperature.
I swear the climate in London wasn't so mild last weekend.
After Monster event in Santa Pod that absorbed me all Saturday long, I could only spent a day in the British capital. Next time I hope to have the chance to stop over for a longer period and discover all its beauty.

Mi trovo sul circuito di Santa Pod, nelle campagne londinesi in occasione della Gymkhana Grid 2012. Qui Ken Block, (http://youtu.be/m1CmKydsHK4) il re del drifting, si cimenterà in una gara contro i migliori piloti della categoria.
Temperatura glaciale...sto ibernando!!! Nemmeno il mio cappotto con dettagli in mongolia è riuscito a scaldarmi abbastanza e come se non bastasse ha iniziato a piovere furiosamente!

Chi è Ken Block? Un mago al volante, il suo ultimo video a bordo dells Ford Fiesta WRC ha ricevuto 5 milioni di click su youtube nelle prime 24 ore e la sua serie di video "Gymkhana" è famosa in tutto il mondo. Come se non bastasse Ken Block è anche fondatore e designer del marchio di calzature sportive DC SHOES e amico di Travis Pastrana, un altro fenomeno del free style su due ruote.
Personalmente tra un paio di DC Shoes e un paio di Golden Goose, non avrei dubbi: GG tutta la vita ma apprezzo lo stile di chi indossa DCS e di chi ha un approccio molto più active rispetto a me. L'atmosfera che si respira non è certo quella delle passerelle ma vi assicuro che anche solo ammirare uno show del genere può essere altrettanto emozionante...(http://youtu.be/NQiHJtwnnug)

Il termometro segna 13°C, fa freddo ma almeno il cielo è sereno e ha smesso di piovere...;)

Oggi il programma della giornata prevede una sostanziosa colazione in University Place e poi una bella camminata fino al Meatpacking District (posso assicurare che la distanza è notevole).
Mi sono vestita di blu e nero, la sciarpa di Rika da il tocco giusto al mio outfit semplice e sportivo.
Consiglio di visitare Jeffrey (http://jeffreynewyork.com/), è uno store bellissimo dove si possono trovare i pezzi più cool di stagione e i brand più interessanti. A pochi passi da lì lo Standard Grill dello Standard Hotel è ottimo per fare un pranzo a base di lobster roll e patatine fritte; la location attira inevitabilmente l'attenzione.
Cammina, cammina, alla fine non c'è niente di più bello che perdersi nel quartiere già tutto addobbato per l'attesissima festa di Halloween...

The thermometer reads 13°C, it's cold but fortunately sky is clear and it has stopped raining...;)
The program for today consists in a rich breakfast in University Place and a long walk to Meatpacking District (I can assure the distance is considerable).
I dressed in black and blue, my Rika scarf gives the right touch to my simple and sporty outfit.
I suggest you to visit Jeffrey (http://jeffreynewyork.com/), it's a beautiful store where you can find the most exciting pieces that fashion has to offer each season and the most interesting international brands. Near the shop, the Standard Grill at Standard Hotel is excellent to have lunch eating lobster roll and homemade fries; unavoidably the location attracts the attention.
At the end there's nothing better than getting lost in the district already decorated for Halloween...

Morbidi e non strutturati gli stivaletti "Jenny" di Isabel Marant in suede o in pelle sono comodi e iper cool. Con un tacco di circa 25 mm sono perfetti per un look casual ma al tempo stesso ricercato, rappresentando il dettaglio giusto da indossare giorno e sera.
Direi un buon investimento per la prossima stagione, mia madre insegna...

Soft, unstructured and slouchy, "Jenny" suede or leather ankle boots by Isabel Marant are comfortable and iper cool. Heel measures approximately 25mm. They are perfect for a casual but at the same time refined look and represent the stylish detail for night and day.

ISABEL MARANT SNEAKERS FW’12…FINALLY IN MY WARDROBE!

Non ci posso ancora credere! Le ho cercate tanto, le ho ordinate senza sapere la data effettiva di consegna e attese a lungo ma finalmente eccole: le nuove sneakers di Isabel Marant per il prossimo autunno inverno! Le ho ritirare giusto ieri, quando le ho viste esposte da Excelsior non sono stata più nella pelle… Le mie sono completamente nere con dettagli in pitone stampato, ma sono disponibili anche grigie, verde militare, tortora e color block rosse e blu elettrico. Che altro dire…evviva!

I just can’t believe it! I looked for them so much, I made the order and waited for a long time without knowing the right delivery date but finally here they are: new fall winter 2012 Isabel Marant sneakers! I picked up mine just yesterday and when I saw them on Excelsior displays I couldn’t be beside myself with joy… My IB are completely black colored with printed python skin details but in store are available also grey, army, dove-grey, and color block red and electric blue. What else can I say?...hurrah

ISABEL MARANT vs GOLDEN GOOSE…GREAT MATCH!

Ormai non si parla d’altro… Da mesi fashion bloggers e non postano proprie immagini con le Beckett e le Willows ai piedi; c’è chi punta a colori basici e chi osa di più, ma non tutti sono amanti delle sneakers con il rialzo.

Proviamo a organizzare una competition: quelle di Isabel Marant, iper fashion e introvabili vs Golden Goose, le tennis made in Venezia, riconoscibili e amate per la particolare stella sui fianchi. Quale brand uscirà vincitore?

Sono sincera, mi piacciono entrambe; sono fan da anni delle Golden Goose, sia che esse siano in pelle, suede o canvas perché, a parer mio, sono riuscite a dare un valore aggiunto alla classica scarpa a tennis; per i colori, sempre diversi e irriverenti ma portabilissimi e per le applicazioni: basti pensare a  quelle dell’attuale stagione SS '12 con borchie arrotondate o tessuto rinfrangente.

Del resto le Willows/Beckett rappresentano la rivoluzione, scopiazzate ormai da tutti ma si sa: ai propri piedi non si può non avere le originali. Il prezzo è comunque alto ma, a quanto pare, siamo tutte disposte a mettere mano al portafogli. Sta a voi la scelta, io per essere sicura mi sono già messa in lista d’attesa…e voi? Cosa aspettate?

Everyone speaks about it… since months fashion bloggers and girls post their own photos fitting Beckett and Willows shoes; there’s who wear plain colors and who dare more, but not everybody loves the famous sneakers with inside lift.

Ok let’s start a competition: Isabel Marant’s, iper fashion and impossible to find vs Golden Goose, tennis shoes made in Venice, recognizable and loved for the peculiar star on sides. Who is gonna win?

I’m honest, I like both; I’m a Golden Goose fan since years; because of the fabric: as it is leather, suede or canvas and because the brand has finally given a surplus value to classical tennis shoes.

This is due to colors, always different and irreverent but absolutely wearable, and to embroideries: suffice is to think about new SS’12 styles with rounded studs or reflector texture.

At the same time Willows/Beckett shoes represent the revolution, they are worldwide perfectly imitated but we all know we can fit only the original ones.

The price in both cases is high but as it seems we are all willing to put one’s hand in one’s pocket.

The choice is yours, I’m on the waiting list for next FW’12 collection…and you? What are you waiting for?
