In the mood for stripes

Un trend che non è mai passato di moda e che quest'estate spopolerà più che mai: in versione maxi, colorate e nell'intramontabile back & white, le righe sono le protagoniste delle passerelle.
Quelle di Dolce & Gabbana si ispirano agli ombrelloni e alle sdraio dei lidi balneari, Roger Vivier crea una collezione ad hoc sui toni dell'azzurro e del panna, Marc Jacobs le ripropone mescolandole insieme mentre Fendi usa un'impronta più grafica ponendo un accento essenziale sull'importanza del colore. PICK OF THE WEEK: MY MAWI CLUTCH OBSESSION

How can I resist?

Anche se il freddo di questi giorni lascia senza respiro è ormai tempo di pensare agli acquisti per la prossima primavera estate. C'è chi cerca ancora di aggiudicarsi gli ultimi affari con i saldi e chi non vede l'ora di aprire il portafoglio per accaparrarsi qualche nuovo pezzo must.
Attesissima è la clutch di Mawi, già vista in mano a molte fashion bloggers e fashioniste durante la London fashion Week di settembre. Per noi umani sarà disponibile nei negozi e e-shop da febbraio ma nel frattempo ho voglia di stuzzicarvi con qualche immagine.
Che meraviglia! Un tripundio di cristalli e colore, eh sì! La primavera è ormai vicina...

Even if wintry weather of these days leave us breathless, it's time to think about new purchases for next spring summer season. Someone is trying to take home last deals with sales, someone else can hardly wait to grab new must have.
We're all expecting Mawi clutch, already seen in many fashion bloggers and fashionistas' hands during London Fashion Week in September. For human beings it will be available from Fabruary in shops and online stores but in the meantime I'd like to arouse you with some pictures.
It's magnificent! A sparkling of stones and colors, ohh yes! Spring is coming!

Saturday night I had dinner with my friends at home, this is what I wore for this occasion. Do you like it? My mongolian fur vest is a Christmas gift from my mother, she bought it at Salotto Teodolinda, a beautiful vintage shop in Monza... And my Chanel Jumbo bag? Honestly it's hers ;)

Premium è una fiera irrinunciabile per chi ama fare ricerca e vuole scovare qualche novità.
Quando il mondo della moda incontra progetti volti all'ecologia è possibile veder svilupparsi lavori interessanti e carichi d'interesse e curiosità.
Lalalove (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lalalove-London/130239830375901) è un marchio che ha radici tra Londra e Bangkok, nasce nel 2009 dalla creatività della stilista tailandese Linda Charoenlab. Linda inizia il suo percorso creativo lavorando in pubblicità e per riviste fashion. Il suo amore per la moda però la porta dapprima a realizzare t-shirt, per poi ampliare la collezione con vestiti, top, leggins, gonne... Il brand utilizza solo tessuti eco-friendly in 100% cotone organico e i capi stampati sono realizzati solo con immagini e stampe digitali.
Bhè, l'ecofashion mi ha già conquistata, non mi resta che presentarvi alcuni dei capi clue della nuova collezione Lalalove...;)

PICK OF THE WEEK: H'KATSUKAWA FROM TOKYO, NAIF 1979 & R.S.V.P. MILANO

Come vi avevo anticipato queste settimane sono state dense di appuntamenti.
Al Pitti oltre ad aver passato del tempo allo stand Colmar Originals, ho avuto anche modo di girare per cercare le novità per il prossimo autunno-inverno.
Siete pronti a scoprire nuovi brand?
Iniziamo con H'Katsukawa From Tokyo http://hkatsukawafromtokyo.net/ del designer giapponese Eiichi Katsukawa e la sua collezione di scarpe dall'aspetto logoro denominata "NIBE WORN LEATHER COLLECTION".
Ovviamente il sito è quasi interamente scritto in giapponese ma è comunque interessante vedere le immagini dei prodotti e leggere il percorso formativo e creativo dell'artista.
Il brand Naif 1979 http://www.naif1979.it/, propone delle semplicissime t-shirt rese particolari da stampe jungle ultra colorate posizionate sulle spalle e attorno al collo. Sicuramente seguono il trend lanciato da Marcelo Burlon e la sua linea County of Milan ma personalmente le trovo molto belle, fresche e originali.
Per finire i cappelli stravaganti del marchio R.S.V.P. MILANO dedicati a chi gira per la città in cerca di notorietà o a chi vuole esprimere il proprio stato d'animo senza proferire parola ;)

As I already told you these weeks have been very dense of things to do.
During Pitti fair I spent time at Colmar Originals booth but I had the possibility even to go around searching for new products for next fall-winter season.
Are you ready to discover new brands?
Let's start with H'Katsukawa From Tokyo http://hkatsukawafromtokyo.net/, the designer Eiichi Katsukawa and his shoe line called "NIBE WORN LEATHER COLLECTION".
Obviously the official website is almost totally written in Japanese but it's very interesting to navigate finding product images and reading the designer's educational and creative path.
Naif 1979 brand http://www.naif1979.it/ proposes simple t-shirts with peculiar and extremely colorful jungle prints positioned on sleeves and around the neck.
Surely it follows Marcelo Burlon's creative trend and his County of Milan collection but personally I think these items are very nice, fresh and original.
I finish my little report speaking about the extravagant hats from R.S.V.P. MILANO, dedicated to people out for notoriety or who wants to express his own mood without using words ;)

One night with Mercedes-Benz: Mercedes-Benz meets Mimmo Rotella

Anche questa settimana non ho avuto un attimo di respiro. Di ritorno da Berlino non ho potuto far a meno di passare al Mercedes-Benz Brand Center a Milano per la première del Calendario 2013 Mercedes-Benz Classic che quest'anno vede protagonista la Classe S e le opere dell'artista italiano Mimmo Rotella.
Entrando si respira subito un'atmosfera d'altri tempi, elegante e ricercata; ed eccole: sistemate in maniera impeccabile, le Mercedes d'epoca spiccano e svettano tra i modelli più recenti.
La realizzazione del calendario è stata affidata alla bravura del famoso fotografo croato Monty Shadow, che ha sapientemente reinterpretato la storia della berlina Classe S dal 1904 ad oggi.
Il calendario celebra in 12 mesi l'ammiraglia della Stella fondendo insieme le fotografie della Classe S con i celebri strappi di Mimmo Rotella, a creare un progetto ricco di espressività e contenuti.
Che dire! Le opere di Rotella mi sono sempre piaciute e vederle rivisitate in chiave automobilistica mi ha permesso di apprezzarle ancora di più: il mese di gennaio è dedicato a Vivien Leigh e la storica Mercedes Simplex 60 CV del 1904, gli altri mesi hanno come protagonisti icone del cinema italiano e straniero come Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Lauren e la Dolcevita, Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction fino ad arrivare a Superman con Christopher Reeve, accompagnato dalla Mercedes-Benz 500 SE.
Che ne pensate? Per chi è interessato è possibile ammirare le immagini del calendario al Brand Center fino alla fine di marzo.

I've been very busy this week. Back from Berlin I stopped by Mercedes-Benz Brand Center in Milan to take part at the première of Mercedes-Benz Classic Calendar 2013 that this year has as protagonists Class S and masterpieces of the Italian artist Mimmo Rotella.
Coming in it's possible to feel a different atmosphere, extremely elegant and sophisticated and here they are: vintage Mercedes stand out among latest models.
The calendar creation has been committed to the famous Croatian photographer Monty Shadow, who has skilfully shown the history of Class S since 1904.
The calendar celebrates Mercedes flagship blending pictures of Class S with Mimmo Rotella's famous crafts: a project full of inspiration and contents indeed.
Should I say more?!? I've always loved Rotella's works and I appreciate them more and more thanks to the new automotive accent: January is dedicated to Vivien Leigh and the historic Mercedes Simplex 60 CV of 1904, main characters of other months are Italian and international movie icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Lauren from the Dolcevita, Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction and Superman with Christopher Reeve, together with Mercedes-Benz 500 SE.

Romantiche, dolci e adorabili... Cosa ne pensate delle mie nuove ballerine di Chanel? Le ho comprate a Firenze durante il mio soggiorno a Pitti. Le ho scovate in un bellissimo negozio vintage in centro e non me le sono fatte scappare. Speriamo solo che arrivi presto la primavera... Nel frattempo mi godo il freddo e la neve, domani si parte per Berlino ;) Un bacio a tutti e a presto

Pitti with Colmar Originals

Scusate ragazzi! E' da un pò che non mi faccio sentire.
Questa settimana è stata densa di eventi. Da martedì a giovedì sono stata al Pitti per Colmar Originals, abbiamo esposto al padiglione IPlay la collezione FW'13 ed è stato un vero successo... Del resto me lo aspettavo ;) Lo stand è stato letteralmente invaso da clienti e visitatori tutti i giorni, i momenti di riposo sono stati veramente pochi.
Nei ritagli di tempo sono riuscita fortunatamente a farmi fare qualche foto e il Duomo di Firenze mi è parso lo sfondo migliore per incorniciare i miei scatti.
La giacca con cappuccio che indosso l'ha disegnata Francesca http://www.francescabellavita.com/, la nostra stilista. E' un capo in neoprene, mi piace tantissimo e si abbina perfettamente con il mio gilet di volpe. E la borsa? Un gentile prestito di mia mamma. Che ne pensate?

Sorry guys! It's a time you don't hear me.
This week has been full of interesting events. From Tuesday to Thursday I was at Pitti in Florence to present Colmar Originals. We exhibited the fall winter 2013 collection at IPlay pavilion and it was a great success... Moreover I expected it ;) The stand has been totally crowded by customers and visitors all days long, downtimes were very few. Fortunally I made some pictures, the Florence cathedral was the best background to frame my photos.
Here I wear a hooded jacket designed by Francesca http://www.francescabellavita.com/, our fashion designer. It's realized in neoprene, I like it very much and I find it's perfect with my fox fur vest.
And the bag? A kind borrowing from my mother. What do you think about?
