Amazing Florence

Eccomi qui per la terza e ultima puntata del mio viaggio a Firenze. Tempo bellissimo e clima gelido. Immancabile il mio look pink, cappotto, borsa e sciarpa, al quale ho abbinato capi casual, per affrontare la giornata in assoluta libertà... 

Ho camminato tutto il giorno. Ho approfittato di questa breve visita in città per visitare la Basilica di San Marco, il suo museo con le opere del Beato Angelico (sfortunatamente molte sono state rimosse per essere restaurate), nonchè le celle affrescate con soggetti evangelici, tra le quali spicca quella del Savonarola. 

E parlando di storia, ma indubbiamente molto più recente, sono riuscita finalmente a vedere la mostra "Il calzolaio Prodigioso" al Museo Ferragamo (visita il museo). Qui ho potuto ammirare le speciali creazioni realizzate appositamente nel corso degli anni per dive di Hollywood e star del jetset internazionale. Il nome Marilyn vi dice qualcosa?

Here I am with the last report of my journey in Florence. The weather was great but freezing.

I was dressed in pink. Coat, shoulder bag and scarf are mixed together with cozy clothes for a really comfy look to walk all day long... 

First I visited The Basilica of San Marco, its museum with Beato Angelico's marvellous masterpieces (unfortunately most of them impossible to watch because of restoration)  and frescoes in monks' cells. Among all the one of Savonarola has a great importance.

Concerning history, most recent of course;) I finally appreciated the exhibit "Il calzolaio Prodigioso" at Ferragamo's Museum (visit the museum). For the first time I had the opportunity to see some of the most amazing creations realized for Hollywood divas and international celebrities during the years. What does the  name Marilyn remind you?

Frivoliciouz in Florence part 2

L'indecisione è stata forte... Coprirmi al massimo per evitare il freddo o affrontare il vento sferzante di questi giorni e indossare un abitino? Lo so, non è facile vedermi in abito o gonna, questo perchè sono una ragazza tendenzialmente pratica che veste per lo più jeans e pantaloni ma nel guardaroba ho un sacco di capi più femminili.

Un viaggetto a Firenze mi è sembrata l'occasione adatta per indossarli. Archiviata la mini tuta a disegni optical di Jovonna (la vedrete prossimamente sul blog) ho deciso di indossare un mini abito di Givenchy di qualche anno fa. E' semplicissimo, un capo passepartout da abbinare sia a tacchi che a scarpe più informali. In questo caso eccomi con i miei comodissimi mocassini maschili di Valentino.

Ok!!! Adesso sono pronta per lasciarmi incantare dalle meraviglie di questa città! ;)

A very strong indecision... Is it better to cover myself with warm clothes or face the driving wind of these days and wear a dress? I perfectly know it's not ordinary to see me wearing dresses or skirts, this is because I generally use comfortable garments like jeans and trousers but my closet is full of very many feminine clothes too.

A little journey in Florence is the right occasion to wear them except for my new optical Jovonna shortalls (very soon on the blog), it's too cold for it. Here I am with my Givenchy little black dress bought some years ago but still very actual. It's so simple and chic, perfect with high heels or flat shoes like my Valentino patent leather loafers for example. 

Well, now I'm ready to wander around this amazing city! ;)

Guardate un pò cosa ho trovato?

Questa foto risale a qualche anno fa... Milano, Via della Spiga in una fredda giornata d'inverno. Io imbacuccata come fossi nel bel mezzo di una tormenta di neve e qualche chilo in meno ;)

In quel periodo Frivoliciouz non esisteva ancora. Non potete immaginare la sorpresa quando le giornaliste di Vogue Japan mi hanno fermato per immortalare il mio look che dopo poco è stato pubblicato sul sito ufficiale. Devo ammettere: una gran bella soddisfazione!!!

This snapshot comes from some years ago... Yes, it's me in Milan, in a cold winter morning. I was muffled as I were in a snowstorm and a little bit thinner ;) At that time Frivoliciouz didn't exist jet. You can imagine the surprise when the journalists of Vogue Japan stopped me to take a picture, some days after my look was posted on Vogue Japan official web page. I'm sincere, it has been a great pleasure!!!

Black, white leopard and a touch of color... Frivoliciouz in Milan

Venerdì mi sono svegliata con una carica in più... Sarà perchè avevo la giornata completamente libera, sarà perchè ho ricevuto un regalo di Natale in anticipo e ho deciso di scartarlo al volo ;)

I miei mocassini di vernice di Valentino sono un sogno e dovevo assolutamente indossarli (grazie papà, erano proprio quelli che volevo!)

Come punto di partenza per strutturare il look sono partita proprio dai mocassini, ho ricreato un outfit maschile con pantalone skinny alla caviglia, t-shirt bianca e giacca smoking. E per finire? La splendida pelliccia vintage di leopardo anni '70, un cimelio di famiglia e la Birkin arancio di Hermes. Voilà!!!

Great time last Friday, I woke up with a lot of energy... No work and first Christmas gift under the tree, already unwrapped ;)
My Valentino patent leather loafers are magnificent and as you can see I've fitted them immediately (thanks dad, you've granted my wish!)
I've created the look of the day starting from my new shoes, a male outfit with skinny pants, a simple white t-shirt and a tuxedo jacket. And to complete the outfit? An heirloom: my vintage leopard fur coat from the seventies, and obviously, my Hermes orange Birkin. Voilà!

I look glowing!

Venerdì scorso sono stata a Lugano. Adoro questa città! Così internazionale e al tempo stesso così familiare...

Con le temperature tropicali degli ultimi giorni ho deciso di indossare qualcosa di molto comodo e fresco: ecco due, tra i capi preferiti del mio guardaroba estivo: la tutina stampata dall'animo vintage di Diane Von Furstenberg e i sandali con fiocco di Valentino. La prima me l'ha regalata tempo fa mio padre durante un suo viaggio a New York, mentre i sandali sono un acquisto di qualche anno fa... Li adoro!!! Sono raffinati e senz'altro fuori dal comune. Vi piacciono? Muah!!! A presto ;)

Lat Friday I was in Lugano. I adore this city by the lake, so international and at the same time so familiar...

Due to high temperature I decided to dress something very comfortable and fresh: here are two of my favorite items from my own summer wardrobe: Diane Von Furstenberg printed wrap jumsuit with a vintage look and Valentino bow sandals. The first one is a gift received from my daddy during a trip in New York while my precious sandals are a purchase of some years ago... I love them, so refined and unique. Do you like them? Muah!!! Sabato mattina a Milano... La vetrina di Valentino mi ha letteralmente rapito.

L'iconico camouflage è uno dei temi chiave del guardaroba maschile secondo Valentino per la pimavera estate 2013: motivo principe della collezione è il pattern mimetico, rivisitato e impreziosito secondo lo stile della Maison. 

Uno dei pezzi cult è rappresentato dalla sneaker, decorata con borchie colorate;  l’effetto mimetico è dato dalla pelle tagliata a laser, applicata e termosaldata sul tessuto della scarpa.

I fan della texture camouflage sono già in lista d'attesa, le "camo" sneakers sono sold out ovunque!

Cosa potrebbe proporci in più la Maison? Un'imperdibile special edition dedicata alla Rockrunner Fluo, una rivisitazione della sneaker presentata nelle varianti giallo, rosa, verde e arancio, e disponibile dal 9 aprile solo nel monomarca di Via Montenapoleone a Milano.

The iconic camouflage pattern is one of the key line for Valentino men's spring summer 2013: mimetic texture is the main protagonist of the collection, reinvented and embellished following the style of the Maison. 

One of the best pieces to come out are the sneakers with the camouflage print and rubber studs. The mimetic effect is given using laser cut leather, then heat applied to the shoes.

Fans of camouflage texture are waiting! "Camo" sneakers have had a great success and are sold out everywhere!

What could Valentino offer more? An umissable special edition of the sneakers, called  Rockrunner, presented in fluorescent colors: yellow, pink, green and orange. The capsule collection is available only at the Valentino store at Via Montenapoleone from April 9.

Chi non vorrebbe chiamarsi Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al Missned... La moglie dell'Emiro del Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani questa estate ha ricevuto un regalo indimenticabile.

Il marito ha acquistato prima la Costa Smeralda e poi la Maison Valentino, della quale l'ambasciatrice dell'emirato è grande ammiratrice e cliente.

Del resto Sheikha non passa certo inosservata. Bellissima, altera, sofisticata, colta, ed estremamente carismatica è la testimonial giusta per la nota casa di moda italiana, nonché una delle muse e icone chic dello star system mondiale tanto da essere consacrata regina di bellezza mediorientale.

Codognato Vanity Crowned Skull ring

E’ da tanto che non compaio in un post ma eccomi qui sulle colline umbre, gli scatti risalgono allo scorso weekend. Il luogo è incantato, i paesaggi semplicemente mozzafiato. Ho optato per un look sui toni del rosa pallido e nero, l’abito è stato un acquisto fatto all’ultimo da Zara, gli accessori: le rock studs sling back di Valentino, tracolla di Chanel in raso e dettagli in pelle e… il mio anello Vanity Crowned Skull di Codognato. In uno dei miei primi post avevo annunciato l’intenzione di parlarne ed eccolo: il teschio incoronato in oro e diamanti grezzi, la montatura a forma di osso e internamente autografato. E’ un regalo ricevuto quattro anni fa a Venezia, un acquisto fatto appositamente nella storica gioielleria Codognato. L’anello è un pezzo unico risalente ai primi anni del 900…personalmente lo considero una vera opera d’arte…

I Renaissance-style Vanity rings sono tra i gioielli più famosi di casa Codognato, anche realizzati in oro, avorio e cristalli di Rocca al posto dei diamanti. Sicuramente questi pezzi vintage d’alta gioielleria sono tra i più amati e copiati ma gli altri rimangono semplicemente delle imitazioni.

It’s such a long time you don’t see me on posts but here I am on beautiful Umbrian hills, a fairyland with breathtaking landscapes. Images are from last weekend. I was pale pink and black dressed. Zara cloth is a last minute buying, my accessories: Valentino rock studs sling back, satin and leather Chanel little shoulder bag and…my Codognato Vanity Crowned Skull ring. I wrote in one of my first posts I wanted to speak about it and here it is: a very mysterious and dark gold skull cap with crown and rough diamonds eyes,  bone shaped mounting and autographed inside. It’s a gift received 4 years ago in Venice, a purchase made on purpose at historic Codognato’s jewellery. The ring is one of a kind, dated from early twentieth century…personally a real work of art…

Renaissance-style Vanity rings are among the most famous works of Codognato, even realized in gold enameled in ivory and rock crystal gemstones instead of diamonds. For sure these vintage luxury jewellery pieces are the most popular and most copied but the others are simply copies.
